Two amazing videos by a new youtuber by the name of girlwriteswhat. The first an introduction to her & her reasons for writing, the second a remarkable critique of our society's attitude of male disposability. They are both excellent, but the second one in particular is absolute gold. Her blog is worth checking out, too.

Well I've read the blog front page and I am not impressed.
ReplyDeleteWhile she throws a lot of darts trying to resonate with the male perspective, she has no idea because she is in fact female.
She seems to parrot or mimic a man's voice well, but w/o the resolve of inner "owning your man shit."

ReplyDeleteI don't really get your beef: obviously, being a woman, she will never truly understand the male reality from the inside, but that she is committed enough to try, repeatedly, is unusual & admirable. Plus, her arguments are sound & well-expressed, & the sorry fact is in the current climate, any woman speaking out on the subject of misandry has a much greater chance of being listened to by the world at large than pretty much any man. It's exceedingly rare to hear a woman speak up like this, so it should be applauded whenever it occurs.
I think I'm going to have to stop anonymous commenting from now on, they're almost always less thought-out & constructive than the ones people put their name to.
